The reconstructed fragment of the oldest sugar-beet railway in the Elbe district offers a pleasant train trip, towed by steam or diesel narrow-gauge engines. Small parties can also use the trolley. The trains depart for the regular weekend and all bank holiday trips from 1st May to mid October. Besides, we open for the Easters, the first weekend of December for the “Hell Rides”, for the Year End and New Year festive rides.
The departures are scheduled for 9:45 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The diesel “Holiday Wednesdays” follow the same schedule. Depending on the weather conditions, 4 open or 4 roofed & heated carriages are available together with 2 carriages for the disabled, for prams and cyclists. The trip can be interrupted and combined with a walking trip through the lowland fields, cycling or mushroom picking. It is possible to use the trolley to reach Sendrazice.Special trips can be ordered for any day of the week.
The Station in Sendrazice also hosts the museum of the sugar beet narrow gauge railways in the region. The exposition also describes sugar-beet growing.
The visitors can also enjoy the educational path “Sugar beet narrow gauge railway history”. The stops offer the entertainment for children, places to sit and even a BBQ spot at Vyrovna. The Sendrazice station provides parking spaces, buffet and a small kid park with a trampoline. The terminus at Bychory has the children park with attractive segments and a pleasant seating location in nature.
